Doctoral School

The Doctoral School brings together all doctoral students from every faculty at the Catholic University of Lyon to discuss a particular issue every year.

From January to June, five half-day seminars are chaired by one or more researchers from each faculty in turn dealing with the chosen issue from the perspective of their discipline.

Objectives :

- to offer an experience of cross-disciplinary research to doctoral students
- to invite external researchers to attend these seminars; this gives research lecturers and students from different disciplines the chance to compare their methodology on a particular topic
- to build a sufficiently large 'critical mass' at University level in terms of human resources to allow participation in research networks.

This Doctoral School brings together the University's five faculties to undertake cross-disciplinary research, with the option of publishing findings in the Catholic University of Lyon Review.
